By Alicia Framis

Premiering in New York as pat of the Performa 09 bienial of new visual art performance, Alicia Framis presented Lost Astronaut – an ongoing performance-installation based at ADF LAB that explores the potential of living on the moon through the ironic and fictional character and activities of a woman astronaut portrayed by Framis where she lived for two weeks wearing a astronaut suit, residing among drawings and prototypes. The activities where pre-determined by scores written by a group of internationally acclaimed authors and artists, and the audience was able to interact with her as she stayed in her BaseCamp or wandered the streets of New York City.
