Moon Life Foundation is an interdisciplinary platform organisation for research and innovation in art and culture to a future life by people on the moon, space, and ultimately on earth. The goal is to build an exciting community of professionals and public and provide a base for educational initiatives. The foundation gives many opportunities for the public to participate. You are encouraged to participate as an audience, as a consumer, or professional.
Moon Life started as a project about two years ago by research after daily life conditions on the Moon. In Spring 2010 the Moon Academy, a workshop in which knowledge about Moon Life was shared, took place. The purpose was to develop products that deal with special conditions at the moon. Artists and designers were personally invited to contribute to the collection with products that answer to the specific conditions of the Moon.
Alicia Framis founded Moon Life Foundation in 2010. She is the winner of the Prix de Rome 1997 and represented The Netherlands in the 2003 Venice Biennale. Her work is internationally renowned. Framis’ signature working methods, blends elements of architecture, fashion and performance, joining fictional constructs with social critique and integrating multi-disciplinary collaborations with architects, artists, writers, performers, designers and students.
